HelpAge International is looking for an exceptional individual to join their restructured Global Impact Department.
Message from Justin Derbyshire, Chief Executive
Over the next few decades, the world will experience rapid population ageing. It has huge implications for governments, policy makers, international and national development processes and, of course, for older people themselves. By 2030, the great majority of them will be living in low and middle-income countries.
HelpAge International is the leading global NGO working on ageing and older people’s issues. We have recently re-structured our organisation to deepen our expertise and strengthen the way in which we support our growing number of network members around the world. It is an exciting time to be joining our global leadership team.
At the top of the page you will find some information about us, all the details about the role and what you need to do to apply. For further information about the HelpAge global network you can visit our website.
It’s nearly three years since I joined the team from Save the Children. Originally hired as Director of Programmes, I was appointed Chief Executive in March this year. I am motivated by the challenge of making an impact for our donors and promoting the rights of older people, while working in an organisation that is small enough for me to know most people in person.
As the hiring manager, I’m keen to recruit people with the same desire to make a difference. Having recently re-structured our operations in line with our medium-term plans, we’re now set-up to deliver on our commitments in the coming months and years. Why not come and join us?
Meanwhile, thank you for showing an interest in working for HelpAge International and we look forward to receiving your application.
